Just at the end of the lively Grassmarket so ideal for wandering to see the sites but far enough away from the pub noises.
Top Tip
Grassmarket for lively banter

Was not impressed that we were given a twin disabled room, and that there were no shower to use as it was a bath only.

Rooms very comfortable - apart from huge pillows. However, I put a cover on the cushion and that was OK
Great to get one of the few parking spaces (we would have had to park at the airport and get the shuttle into town
Top Tip
Thai restaurant oppposite Castle was really good - as well as Hanam's Kurdish restaurant next door - both in easy walking distnce from hotel, just down into Grassmarket and up to the left

The hotel dinning room was too small for the overall size of the hotel. Service in the resurant was slow and the buffet at breakfast was not refreshed frequently enough with many things not availalbe leading to queues for basic things like milk and eggs. The rooms were clean and spacious and the location was fine for sightseeing in the old town and castle. The staff seemed to be all eastern European not a scot in sight!
Top Tip
Take your pick many bars and resurants to choose from to suit all pockets. Spoilt for choice.

Short walk to Grassmarket area, good pubs & plenty of restaurants. Try the seafood at Mussel & steak bar.
