It was not immediately clear from the hotel website but this is hotel is truly not suitable for people with walking difficulties. Too many stairs to enter building and then to get from reception to lift or dining room - more stairs - all without even a stair lift. Very Disappointing

Excellent breakfast buffet, with helpful serving staff.
Inevitably, the old sash windows on front elevation don't keep traffic noise out. Ear plugs do and are easy to fit.

Best city in the UK - easy to find interesting things to do and see on every day for a fortnight. Hundreds of local restaurants.

The hotel was great, i did read some bad reports, but they were unfounded, i was really pleased with my single room, teas made, shortcake biscuits, overlooking Princes street, will certainly use this hotel again.
Top Tip
Plenty to see, lots of different eating places, only downside give the tour of Ghost and Ghouls a miss, waste of money for what you see, certainly no Ghost were there.
Seeing the grave of Grey friars Bobby and his master and many other famous people in the churchyard.

Superb location very handy if you come by train - literally over the road from the station. Good views of the Castle and a superb buffet breakfast.
